Haunted Astoria 2020

Short Story Writing Contest

At the heart of Haunted Astoria is the short-story writing contest.  We may weave other activities into the program, but the Writer’s Showcase is the centerpiece as we celebrate the authors who contributed to the event each year.

The Writer's Challenge for 2020!

Theme:    Quarantined

We give artistic reign for authors to interpret the theme – however,

we encourage writers to incorporate historical references or locations to pin the story to our region.  Unlike past years, authors can use any north coast community within Clatsop or Pacific county (OR/WA) as their backdrop.
